Terms and Conditions of Sweetwater Saddlery Holsters and Equipment

Thank you for purchasing a Sweetwater Saddlery LLC Holster! Following is information you may find useful. Please take the time to review all information prior to using your holster.

You must understand and acknowledge that Sweetwater Saddlery LLC has no control over the firearm you use, the ammunition that you use in it, the manner in which you use it, or in any modification that you make in the future to the firearm or to the product. Therefore Sweetwater Saddlery LLC disclaims any and all liability for any damages, personal and/or to property, that may result from the use of this holster.

You must ackknowledge and realize this disclaimer is a condition of the sale of the product involved. If you do not agree to the terms of this disclaimer, or if you have any questions, please contact us before the product is used.

Holster Break-In:   As with most quality leather goods, our holsters may require a brief break-in period as they may intially have a snug fit. This holster is intended to be somewhat rigid, but flexible enough not to cause the wearer discomfort. Flexing the holster may cause the leather to wrinkle or possibly crack. Do NOT righter your belt down on an empty holster. That will cause it to breakdown and become too loose. For break-in, we suggest simply wearing the holster with an unloaded handgun inserted until the handgun can be drawn with minimum resistance. However, if after several hours of break-in wear, the fit of the handgun is still tighter than desired, place the gun into a plastic baggie. Insert it into the holster and allow it to sit for a day or two. If needed, another baggie can be added until the desired fit is obtained.

Care and Maintenance: Periodically check the tightness of belt loop straps. The screws will need to be tighten frequently the first month.  The screws will need to be tightened frequently the first month. Check daily for the first two weeks of use. Light to medium strength thread locking compounds (like Locktite(r)) can be used to secure the screws. Remove handgun from holster when not in use to ensure proper drying of holster. Do not use oils, leather soap or dressings; this may soften the leather and cause the holster to lose its shape. If your holster becomes water soaked, allow it to air dry at room temperature. DO NOT apply heat.

Use of a handgun under any circumstance may be dangerous. Serious injury or death could occur without proper training in the safe handling of firearms by an accredited firearms safety program.

We have tried to indicate which holsters offer proper fit for specific handguns. However, due to the variety of handguns available, continual change occur. Typographical and other human errors can and do occur despite diligent efforts. Sweetwater Saddlery LLC will not be responsible for such changes and errors. You should physically check for proper git of the holster with the actual handgun that it will be used for in the unloaded condition.

Never place a loaded handgun in a holster without first testing for proper fit with the handgun in an unloaded condition. Use only the handgun for which the holster is designed. It is the user's responsibility to periodically check his/her holster and hardware for proper fit and function. Should any Sweetwater Saddlery LLC product become worn, loose, defective, broken or ill-fitting, stop using it immediately.

We warn against the use of custom or modified guns, broken, worn or inferior manufactured guns, including guns that are not of original factory specifications. This caution includes a warning against the use of after-market grips, grip adapters, target hammers, target triggers or trigger shoes. Any handgun modification may cause improper fit and accidental discharge. Do not modify any Sweetwater Saddlery LLC. product in any way.

Do not attempt to cock a handgun while holstered. Cocking a handgun while holstered can cause severe damage to the handgun or holster or both and may cause an accidental handgun discharge. Some users of certain models of semi-automatic handguns insist on carrying the handgun in what is referred to as a "cocked and locked" position - the gun is cocked with the safety engaged. Carrying a handgun in this condition increases the risk of accidental discharge.

No Holster is completely secure. The user must exercise extreme diligence at all times and in any situation where another person may attempt to take the user's handgun. The handgun should be held in a place by the user when vigorous activity such as running, jumping, falling or tumbling are encountered or attempted.

If your Sweetwater Saddlery LLC Holster, user properly, ever fails to live up to your expectations, return it to us for a replacement, repair or refund.
